What CASA Volunteers are NOT:
CASA volunteers are not mentors or sponsors.
They do not make assessments about the value system or religious beliefs of the children, birth family,or foster families.
They do not make placement decisions for children.
CASA's do not transport children or families, nor do they offer gifts or direct services.
The ultimate goal of the CASA volunteer is to assure that the child is placed in a safe and permanent home as quickly as possible.
